Intermediate or Senior Masterplanner (Auckland)

We’ve pioneered an integrated practice, bringing architecture, landscape architecture and urban design together in a collaborative environment. It means more inspiring projects, the chance to make a difference and lots of excitement as we seek to advance land, people and culture.
Here’s the role

  • Collaborate with our inter-disciplinary team to design and deliver a range of innovative greenfields and brownfields projects, residential and mixed-use masterplans
  • Manage feasibility analysis and budgeting through to delivery and production of detailed design and construction drawings to consent and build the public realm within Auckland’s neighbourhoods
  • Lead client engagements and work closely with developers, council, engineers and consultants
  • Drive innovation with award-winning, impactful solutions that extend and enrich places, people and communities


Do you have?

  • Strategic design skills in residential masterplanning with a passion for placemaking and building healthy communities
  • An in-depth understanding of civil works integration with streetscapes and superlots
  • An understanding of urban design principles and how to undertake lot layouts
  • Strong technical skills across feasibility analysis, budget management and detailed design of public realm to resource consent stage and engineering plan approval
  • A sound knowledge of the NZ consent environment
  • Skilled in a range of design tools and methodologies, including design production using Adobe Suite and AutoCAD
  • Effective leadership across clients, projects and teams with a drive for excellence and innovation
  • A degree and background in Landscape Architecture, or Civil Engineering or surveying on residential masterplan projects

Senior Landscape Architect (Wellington)

Here’s the role:

  • You’ll be working across a diverse range of inspiring new projects from public realm, open space, streetscapes, residential and other environmental and civic works
  • You’ll be an important contributor within our award-winning studio, helping to lead innovation, people and projects
  • You’ll deliver design-led and impactful solutions and design of places that inspire and endure

You’ll have:

  • 5+ years’ experience and a strong working knowledge of a range of landscape architectural tools and methodologies
  • Ideally you’ll have a breadth of skills including detailed design and ability to effectively lead and manage projects and clients
  • Strong design-led thinking coupled with a drive for excellence, innovation, and doing things differently
  • A proactive attitude: you’ll grab opportunities to chart your own course
  • Excitement about working in shades of grey and the opportunity to collaborate within our “no boundaries” design environment

Landscape Design Planner

Are you driven to work on world-class projects that advance land, people and culture?

Here’s the role

The heart of your job is to lead the way on the strategic planning and assessment of landscape development projects to ensure successful, efficient and fit-for-purpose design solutions and consenting on public and private projects of all scales.

You’ll lead thinking and delivery across the consultation process, risk assessment through to preparation of the development brief and pre-planning application assessments. As well as being instrumental in creating development opportunities you’ll bring your planning skills to influence early concept design and master-planning across our projects.

We have a gap for an intermediate or senior role and if you’re coming to us as a senior, you’ll play a leadership role in our studio. This will see you helping to foster the talent of others, pioneer innovation and the continued development of our market-leading design planning practice with award-winning, impactful and integrated design solutions that inspire and endure.

You’ll be part of and/or lead project teams, carefully overseeing scope, deliverables, design quality, reporting and profitability as well as guiding strong client relationships.

Is this you?

  • 5+ years professional experience with a Degree or Masters in Landscape Architecture and/or Urban Design
  • A strong technical background including experience with landscape assessment and policy review across complex projects and a good understanding of the RMA
  • A holistic understanding of engagement processes with stakeholders and the public
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with ability to inspire people and lead relationships, projects and budgets to deliver excellent results
  • A drive for excellence, innovation, and to do things differently
  • A proactive attitude: you’ll grab opportunities to chart your own course
